Jason Dickfos
Head of Growth
EDL Energy

Jason joined EDL in February, 2005 as LNG Plant Project Manager for the West Kimberley Power Project (WKPP) and was appointed global Head of Growth in 2020. He currently leads the team responsible for originating, developing and acquiring new distributed energy solutions across EDL’s global business in the United States, United Kingdom, Europe and Australia. Jason’s passion for developing net zero remote energy solutions was sparked by his role on the WKPP, where he worked to deliver clean and reliable gas-fired power for the towns of Broome, Derby, Fitzroy Crossing and Halls Creek and reduced their greenhouse gas emissions by 25%. From there, Jason moved into EDL’s business development team in 2009. With a focus on pursuing the decarbonization pathway WKPP had established and a strategic acquisition, Jason subsequently led and established EDL’s remote energy function in Western Australia. Following that, he moved to a broader growth focus in the business, including Clean Energy and with responsibility for development of Renewable Natural Gas (Biomethane) projects in the USA. Prior to joining EDL, Jason had over 10 years experience in the oil and gas industry working in both Project Delivery and Operations roles at remote oil refineries, oilfields and gas processing facilities in Australia, Papua New Guinea and the USA. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Queensland and a Master’s degree in Business Administration - Technology Management from La Trobe University. When not working with his team on decarbonized energy solutions for the remote energy sector, you’ll find Jason spending time with his family – including his role as chief taxi driver for his three children’s various activities and social events.
